At least 3,600 are dead — and the death toll is expected to rise — after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal on Saturday. Avalanches and building collapses have threatened the life and safety of Nepali throughout the country, and damage to local transportation infrastructure have significantly complicated access for relief workers.

Nonetheless, multiple aid and relief organizations are now working around the clock in Nepal in aid, recovery and reconstruction efforts following the destruction caused by the earthquake and its aftershocks.

After the jump, here is a list of reputable relief agencies that could use your help.

Please take a minute to donate to one of the above relief organizations. This post will be updated with additional resources and other updates. If you are aware of a reputable organization that is also working in the area, please leave a link in the posts.

If you are looking for someone who is currently missing in Nepal, Google has set up a People Finder application.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of the Nepal earthquake and all their loved ones.

Update (4/27/2014, 2:30pm EST): The death toll has now topped 4000, according to NPR.
